Delft University of Technology profiles itself based on four important social topics: energy, environment, infrastructure and health. Delft University of Technology develops medical technologies such as virtual reality training methods for surgeons, tools for minimally invasive surgery, the highly advanced Delft Shoulder and Elbow Model (DSEM), 3D image processing of the heart, microelectronics for tissue vitality and radio isotopes for diagnostics and treatment of diseases together with its academic and industrial partners in the area of health.

 

Delft University of Technology is an all-round institution that offers education and carries out research in technological sciences. Education, research and valorisation are strongly directed towards applicability. 15,000 Bachelor and Master’s students and 5,000 employees work and study at the Delft University of Technology in an environment where technological sciences and society come together.
