B2SP has two business scouts. These are Jeroen van der Leijé and Caroline Duterloo. They have broad experience in industry and are familiar with the fields of research and the processes within the knowledge institutes. They speak the language of the industry and the scientists.

The business scout will assist you during the first contact your company has with B2SP in a personal meeting to ensure your question is clearly formulated. Once the question has been clearly formulated, the business scout will start to search for the right expert within the most appropriate knowledge institutes. The scientists selected will be those who have the most appropriate knowledge on the subject and who have the ability to find out more information or inform you about possible future research.

When the appropriate expertise has been found, the business scout will create a link between the searching company and the scientist. The matchmaking process will then have been completed. If your question can be answered, the Portal will help start the collaboration and will help monitor the process.

The task of the business scout will have been completed when the matchmaking request has been fully processed. Should the expertise not be available within the knowledge institutes, the business scout will ensure the company is provided with a goal-oriented referral to organisations that might be able to answer the question.
